Hot-Dip Galvanized Steel Construction
The Galvanized Steel Bridge Guardrail is manufactured from carbon steel posts, horizontal rails, base plates, and connecting components. The steel parts are fabricated and welded before the complete components receive hot-dip galvanizing treatment.
The zinc coating covers the accessible external and internal surfaces of the steel components. It helps reduce direct contact between the steel substrate and rain, moisture, or atmospheric pollutants. This construction is suitable for bridge projects where the railing remains exposed to outdoor conditions for long periods.
Available connection methods include base plate anchoring, embedded component connections, bolted assembly, and welded connections. Straight sections, curved sections, and terminal units can be manufactured according to the bridge layout and installation conditions.
The main purpose of this product is to provide bridge-edge protection and separate different areas of the bridge deck. Where a project requires the system to resist vehicle impact, a separately designed vehicle protection system must be specified.
Dimensions, Steel, and Zinc Coating
The common railing height is 1100–1500 mm, while the usual post spacing is 1000–2000 mm. Steel options include Q235, Q355, or another material specified in the project documents.
A common zinc coating thickness is approximately 70–100 μm. The actual coating requirement should be confirmed according to the steel thickness, galvanizing standard, and installation environment.
For export or international projects, the steel coating may be controlled with reference to ASTM A123/A123M. Bolts, nuts, and other hardware may use ASTM A153/A153M when required by the project. These references should only be applied when they are included in the technical documents.
Purchasing documents should clearly state the steel grade, zinc coating unit, inspection positions, and test method. Descriptions such as "high zinc coating" or "heavy galvanized" do not provide enough information for inspection and acceptance.
Project-Based Fabrication and Inspection
The factory has cutting, welding, hot-dip galvanizing, and related metal-processing capabilities. Horizontal rails, posts, base plates, and connectors can be manufactured according to one set of project drawings.
After receiving bridge elevation and connection drawings, the technical team can review the railing height, post spacing, component section, base plate size, anchor hole position, and connection method. Component lengths can also be divided according to transport restrictions and on-site installation conditions.
Non-standard curved units or special connection details may be produced as first pieces. The buyer can confirm their dimensions and assembly relationship before mass production. This reduces the need for drilling, cutting, or modification after delivery.
Quality control can cover steel material, dimensions, weld appearance, and zinc coating. Buyers may visit the factory or appoint an independent inspector during production or before shipment. Available project documents may include steel quality information, dimensional inspection records, coating results, and packing details.

Applications and Export Delivery
The Galvanized Steel Bridge Guardrail can be used on highway bridges, urban bridges, river-crossing bridges, mountain bridges, and industrial park bridges. It is suitable for projects seeking to reduce regular repainting work on outdoor steel components.
Drawing-based products normally require about 10–15 days after technical confirmation. The final lead time can be written into the contract according to the quantity and surface-treatment schedule.
For export, separators and waterproof protection can be placed between railing units. Fasteners are packed separately, and timber supports can be used inside the container. The loading process may also be recorded to support receiving inspection and transport issue review.
