Visual Warning for Fixed Roadside Obstacles
The Obstruction Marker Road Sign alerts drivers to fixed objects located within or beside the road. Typical obstacles include bridge piers, guardrail terminal ends, traffic separation blocks, projecting rock sections, pipeline structures, and other facilities that may affect the normal driving path.
Unlike a general advance warning sign, an obstruction marker is commonly installed close to the obstacle or immediately in front of it. The sign can use a triangular, diamond-shaped, or narrow rectangular format with a high-recognition graphic.
Its purpose is to encourage drivers to reduce speed, adjust their road position, or move away from the obstacle. Typical applications include national and provincial roads, rural roads, interchanges, bridge and tunnel entrances, mountain curves, cliff-edge routes, and internal industrial park roads.
Shape and Size Selection
Available triangular warning signs have side lengths of 900 mm, 1100 mm, and 1300 mm.
Common diamond-shaped marker dimensions are 600 × 600 mm and 800 × 800 mm. Narrow rectangular signs are available in 300 × 900 mm and 400 × 1200 mm sizes.
Different formats are suitable for different installation spaces and local road practices. Buyers should select the shape and size according to the local road standard and approved project drawing.
Reflective surfaces can be used to keep the marker visible under vehicle headlights at night. The graphic, stripe direction, colors, and installation angle must correspond to the actual obstacle location. Left- and right-direction markers should not be produced or packed without clear identification.
Artwork Review and Point-Based Production

Before production, the technical team can check the shape, dimensions, reflective material, graphic direction, and mounting-hole positions. A first piece can be produced from the buyer's drawing or physical sample when required.
Different graphics, directions, and dimensions can be combined in one order. Each sign should be assigned a clear installation-point number. Buyers may review the sign faces through production photos and videos or arrange inspection before shipment.
Customized samples normally require about 3–7 days. Batch lead time depends on the number of graphics, directional variations, and panel sizes.
Separate Identification for Left and Right Markers
Obstruction markers are often distributed across many road points, and the graphic direction may vary between locations. Packing management is therefore particularly important.
The factory can mark each panel according to the road route and installation point. Left- and right-direction signs can be packed or labeled separately to reduce installation errors.
Protective film and separators are placed between sign faces, while small connection parts are packed in separate bags or boxes.
After arrival, buyers should check the graphic direction, point number, and accessory quantity before installation. When transport damage is found, photos, videos, and delivery documents should be retained. After-sales personnel can provide a handling response within 24 hours.
