Description

Bridge-Mounted Vehicle Protection Structure

The bridge parapet railing is installed along the bridge deck edge, central median, or between vehicle lanes and other functional areas. It can include continuous horizontal beams, posts, base plates, anchors, fasteners, terminal sections, and transition components.

Unlike a roadside guardrail supported by driven posts, a bridge-mounted system transfers force into the bridge deck through base plates, embedded components, or anchoring assemblies. When a vehicle moves away from the normal traffic path, the continuous beams, post support, and bridge anchoring work together to restrain and guide the vehicle.

The system can use a steel beam-and-post structure, a steel and concrete combination, or another project-specified design. The final height, post spacing, and connection method should be determined according to the road design speed, vehicle composition, bridge edge condition, and protection objective.

Structural Parameters and Corrosion Protection

The common total system height is 900–1500 mm. Post spacing is normally 1000–2000 mm. Main material options include Q235, Q355, or equivalent structural steel required by the project.

The common thickness range for beams, posts, and base plates is 4–16 mm. Different thicknesses should be selected for different structural positions rather than applying one thickness to every component.

Available anti-corrosion methods include hot-dip galvanizing, galvanized plus powder-coated treatment, and multi-layer heavy-duty coating systems. These options can be selected for river-crossing bridges, mountain bridges, humid areas, and outdoor locations with significant temperature changes.

Straight, curved, terminal, and bridge approach transition sections can be customized according to the bridge alignment. Matching base plates, anchors, connection plates, and fasteners can be included for installation according to the approved drawings.

Drawing Review and First-Piece Confirmation

Each bridge parapet railing project requires careful coordination between beams, posts, welds, base plates, and anchoring points. Hongrong Traffic has cutting, welding, stamping, hot-dip galvanizing, and powder-coating equipment.

After receiving the bridge drawings, the technical team can check the railing height, post spacing, base plate dimensions, anchor hole positions, and component thicknesses. Production suggestions may be made after reviewing the embedded components, available installation space, and transport size limits.

Complex curved sections, terminal connections, and non-standard transition parts can be produced as samples or first pieces. The buyer can confirm the dimensions and assembly relationship before mass production. This helps reduce incorrect anchor positions, base plate alignment problems, and transition connection difficulties at the construction site.

Custom Production and Project Acceptance

Drawing-based production normally requires about 10–15 days after technical confirmation. The final schedule depends on the number of components, welding work, and surface treatment.

Buyers may inspect welds, dimensions, and anti-corrosion quality at the factory. Production photos and videos can also be supplied. Payment, delivery batches, acceptance methods, warranty scope, and after-sales responsibilities can be written into the contract.

The system height or steel thickness cannot independently represent a complete protection level. The beams, posts, post spacing, anchors, terminal sections, and transitions must all match the approved configuration.
