Lightweight Railing Units for Bridge Projects
Aluminum Alloy Bridge Railings are manufactured from extruded profiles, tubes, and connecting components. Common material grades and tempers include 6061-T6, 6063-T5, and 6063-T6. The final material selection can be made according to the bridge structure, railing design, and approved project drawings.
Compared with conventional carbon steel railing components, aluminum alloy units have a lower self-weight. This can reduce the handling load during transportation, lifting, and on-site installation. The product is suitable for projects where additional bridge loading and installation efficiency need to be considered.
Available structural forms include horizontal rails, vertical bars, framed units, and assembled sections with concealed connection grooves. The profile section, post spacing, and connecting details work together to provide pedestrian boundary protection and space separation.
Typical applications include pedestrian overpasses, urban landscape bridges, park bridges, waterfront walkways, tourist-area bridges, commercial corridors, and lightweight bridge structures. These railings are mainly intended for pedestrian protection. Projects requiring resistance to vehicle impact should use a separately designed vehicle restraint system.

Dimensions and Surface Finish Options
The common railing height is 1100–1400 mm. Post spacing normally ranges from 1000 mm to 1800 mm, while the typical profile wall thickness is 2.0–5.0 mm.
Available surface treatments include anodizing, powder coating, and fluorocarbon coating. The finish can be selected to coordinate with the bridge color, architectural elevation, and outdoor installation environment.
Extruded aluminum profiles can form closed sections, decorative lines, and concealed connection positions. These features can reduce the number of exposed bolts and help create a cleaner installed appearance.
Buyers should confirm the aluminum grade, profile wall thickness, post spacing, base plate form, and fixing method before production. The stability of a complete railing section cannot be assessed only by the thickness of one profile.

Drawing Development and Sample Confirmation

The technical team can check the railing height, unit length, profile thickness, connection holes, and surface color. Units can also be divided according to bridge curvature, longitudinal slope, transport restrictions, and installation sequence.
Special shapes, curved sections, or concealed connection structures can be produced as samples. Customized samples normally require about 3–7 days. After the buyer confirms the material, dimensions, and assembly relationship, mass production can begin.
Production photos and videos can be provided, and buyers may arrange a factory inspection or appoint a third-party inspector.

Packing and Repeat Orders
For export and long-distance transportation, separators and protective materials can be placed between railing units. Connecting parts are packed separately, and pallets or internal container reinforcement can be used when required.
Specifications, colors, packing methods, and delivery schedules can be written into the contract. If surface damage or packing damage is found after delivery, the buyer should retain photos, videos, and transport documents for review.
For repeat orders using the same design and specification, the drawing and sample confirmation process normally does not need to be repeated. This can reduce production preparation work.
