Product Description
Galvanized narrow coil is a hot-dip galvanized coil slit to relatively narrow widths designed for narrow-profile downstream forming. Where standard slit coil targets general fabrication, narrow coil concentrates on widths that match slim product profiles - cable tray side rails, air duct flanges, fence posts, and similar narrow-formed components. The base galvanized steel is 0.085-1.2mm thick with a zinc coating of 20-300g/m², supplied in regular spangle finish. Because the strip width is matched to a specific product cross-section, downstream fabricators can run the narrow coil directly through roll-forming or bending tooling without slitting on their own line, cutting an extra processing step. The compact coil also takes less floor space and feeds steadily into narrow-profile equipment.
Because narrow coil often ends up in outdoor or humid environments - cable trays in buildings, ductwork in HVAC systems, fencing on exposed sites - our technical team optimizes zinc coating weight and material grade according to the buyer's destination region, matching corrosion protection to local climate rather than shipping a one-size-fits-all grade. Narrow-width slitting is offered as OEM/ODM production from customer drawings and samples, with first-piece confirmation to verify that the slit width matches your profile tooling.

Applications
Cable Tray Side Rails
Narrow widths match the slender side-rail profiles of cable tray; the zinc coating protects the tray in commercial and industrial electrical rooms, and the matched width avoids on-site slitting.
Air Duct Flanges and Angles
Narrow galvanized strips are roll-formed into duct flanges and angle rings; the zinc layer resists condensation in ventilation ducts and the narrow width suits flange-forming tooling.
Fencing Posts and Rails
Narrow coil is formed into fence posts, rails, and mesh wire cores; outdoor fencing relies on the zinc coating to resist weathering, and the narrow coil form supports continuous fence-line production.
Customization
Narrow width is customized to the customer's profile drawing, together with thickness (0.085-1.2mm) and zinc coating (20-300g/m²). Material anti-corrosion grade can be optimized by destination region. OEM/ODM from drawings and samples is supported, with first-piece confirmation before batch production.
Packaging & Transportation
Export packaging uses waterproof film wrapping with rubber spacers between coils, secured by steel band strapping. Wooden reinforcement is applied inside containers to prevent movement, and accessories are packed separately. Coils can be loaded onto pallets upon request. A loading video is recorded for every export shipment. EXW is our preferred trade term; both RMB and USD settlement are accepted.
FAQ
Q1: What narrow widths can you produce?
A: We slit galvanized coil to customer-specified narrow widths within our slitting capability. The feasible width range for a given thickness and coating is confirmed during the drawing review stage before production begins.
Q2: Do you support production based on our samples?
A: Yes. We accept OEM/ODM orders based on customer drawings or physical samples. After receiving the sample or drawing, our technical team reviews it and confirms feasible specifications before quoting.
Q3: How do you handle corrosion protection for humid or coastal destinations?
A: Our technical team optimizes zinc coating weight and material grade according to the destination region. For humid or coastal projects, we recommend a higher coating weight and confirm the specification in the order before production.
