Complete Vehicle Restraint System

The crash barrier highway is a roadside vehicle restraint system made from corrugated steel beams, posts, spacer blocks, terminal ends, transition sections, fasteners, and foundations. Depending on the approved project design, the system can use a two-wave W-beam structure or a three-wave beam structure.

 

When a vehicle leaves the normal traffic lane and contacts the barrier, the longitudinal strength of the beam, controlled deformation of the steel components, and support from the posts work together. This process helps absorb part of the impact energy and guide the vehicle along the barrier line. It can reduce the risk of a vehicle leaving the road, entering the opposite lane, or reaching a dangerous roadside area.

 

The product is suitable for sharp curves, long downhill sections, high embankments, waterside or cliff-edge roads, bridge approaches, tunnel entrances, and locations with fixed roadside obstacles. Its working condition depends on the complete configuration, including the beam, post type, post spacing, installation height, terminal treatment, and foundation. Panel thickness alone does not determine the performance of the whole system.

Beam, Post, and Surface Options

The common beam length is 4320 mm. Available base steel thicknesses range from 2.5 mm to 4.0 mm. Common post spacing options include 1 m, 2 m, and 4 m, although the final spacing must follow the system drawing and actual road conditions.

 

Two-wave beams may be selected for normal roadside sections where suitable deformation space is available. Three-wave beams, shorter post spacing, reinforced posts, or dedicated spacer blocks can be considered for road sections with complex traffic conditions, more heavy vehicles, or higher system stiffness requirements.

 

Available surface treatments include hot-dip galvanizing, powder coating, galvanized plus powder-coated finishes, and project-specified composite anti-corrosion systems. Buyers should also confirm the terminal type, transition connection, post foundation, bolts, and other required accessories when preparing the order.

Drawing Review and Coordinated Production

For a crash barrier highway order, Hongrong Traffic can review the road drawings and purchasing list before production. The technical team can check the beam specification, post type, post spacing, hole position, steel material, and surface treatment.

 

The factory has stamping, cutting, welding, hot-dip galvanizing, and powder-coating capabilities. Customized items are produced after drawing review and first-piece confirmation. This helps keep the dimensions and connection holes of beams, posts, spacer blocks, and fasteners consistent.

 

The factory covers more than 20,000 square metres and has over 60 production workers. Some common guardrail panels and post accessories are kept available for replacement orders starting from several dozen metres. Large projects can be arranged in separate production and delivery batches according to the installation schedule.

Inspection, Delivery, and Packing

Quality control includes incoming material inspection, production checks, anti-corrosion process control, and final inspection. Buyers may visit the factory or appoint a third party to inspect steel material, panel thickness, dimensions, and surface coating.

 

Standard specifications normally require about 3–5 days for production. Drawing-based products, non-standard components, and private-label orders generally require about 10–15 days.

 

For export, panels can be wrapped with waterproof film, separated by rubber pads, and secured with steel straps. Terminal ends, bolts, and other accessories are packed separately. Timber supports can be used inside the container to reduce movement and collision during transport.
