As facilities exposed to the outdoors for extended periods, corrugated guardrails withstand diverse elements, including wind, rain, sun, temperature variations, and even corrosive environments.

 

1. Steel and Corrosion Protection: High-quality steel is the primary material. To combat corrosion and extend service life, hot-dip galvanizing or a double-layer anti-corrosion process combining galvanizing and powder coating is widely used. The galvanized layer provides basic cathodic protection for the steel, while the outer layer of colored powder coating (commonly green, blue, white, etc.) not only further enhances corrosion resistance but also gives the guardrail an aesthetically pleasing appearance. This robust "outer coat" ensures that the guardrail's safety performance does not significantly decline due to rust during its many years of service.

 

2. Environmental Considerations: The production and application of modern corrugated guardrails increasingly incorporate environmental considerations. For example, the material itself is highly recyclable; at the end of its lifespan, the vast majority of the material can be recycled and reused. Improvements in anti-corrosion processes are also moving towards reducing environmental pollution. Its design itself helps reduce the occurrence of major traffic accidents, thereby indirectly reducing the direct environmental impact of vehicle wreckage and oil spills caused by accidents.
