Traffic sign poles, also known as road sign poles or highway sign poles, are upright structures made primarily of hot-dip galvanized steel pipes. They are mainly used for traffic indication on both sides of roads and conform to national standards such as GB/T 23827-2021. The main body material includes Q235 and Q345 steel, with a hot-dip galvanized surface (thickness ≥84μm) and powder coating process, providing a corrosion resistance life of up to 30 years. Common structural types include single-column, cantilever (F/T type), and gantry type. Single-column poles are suitable for small and medium-sized signs, while cantilever poles are used to support directional and directional signs.
Installation must meet height standards (e.g., ≥5500mm for highways) and edge distance requirements (≥25cm). The sign panels are made of aluminum plates and aluminum alloy plates, with reflective film used to improve visibility. Routine maintenance requires regular cleaning and adjustment of lighting interference. Beijing's "multi-pole integration" experience has promoted the establishment of relevant national standards, significantly reducing the number of poles and lowering costs after implementation.
