Impact of bridge railings

The installation and maintenance of bridge railings have many positive impacts. In terms of safety, adding or upgrading old or missing railings can effectively prevent vehicles from running off the bridge. For example, Lanling Town implemented a "one bridge, one policy" approach, adding over 480 meters of railings to six bridges, supplemented by slope guardrails and warning lights, eliminating long-standing safety hazards.

Systematic maintenance, such as painting projects, can improve the corrosion resistance and lifespan of railings, while also enhancing the aesthetics of the roadside environment. For instance, after the painting project on the Tongji South Road overpass railings, safety and durability were improved, and the appearance was completely refreshed. Such projects address public concerns, enhancing the public's sense of security and well-being. For example, the bridge railing upgrade project in Taihu County made the renovated railings new, sturdy, and beautiful.
