Product Description

IBR Roofing Sheet refers to the Inverted Box Rib profile, a trapezoidal, box-like rib panel widely used for industrial and agricultural roofing in Southern Africa and other SADC markets. Our IBR sheets are roll-formed from hot-dip galvanized steel (GI) coil, 0.085–1.2 mm thick, with a zinc coating of 20–300 g/m² and Regular or Big Spangle finish. The square-shouldered rib gives the panel a clear structural span between purlins and a clean, modern roof appearance, while the broad flat area between ribs allows screw fixing through the pan rather than through the rib crest. Panels are cut to project length, reducing end laps on long industrial roofs.

We export to Africa alongside Southeast Asia and Central Asia, and our technical team can adjust the zinc coating grade to the dry, dusty inland conditions versus the humid coastal conditions found across SADC, so the IBR Roofing Sheet arrives matched to the destination climate rather than to a single stock spec.

Applications

Southern African Industrial Roofing - The IBR profile is a recognized SADC roofing standard; contractors and specifiers are familiar with its fixing and span rules, which lowers on-site error on factories and warehouses.

Agricultural and Storage Buildings in Dry Climates - The rigid box-rib spans across large open barns and grain stores, and the zinc coating is selected for inland dust and UV exposure.

Export Distributor Stock for SADC Trade - Because IBR is a locally familiar profile, distributors in South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique buy it as a repeat stock item, and our export packing is built around container consolidation.

Customization

We roll-form IBR in the required rib pitch, thickness (0.085–1.2 mm), coating weight (20–300 g/m²), and cut length. OEM/ODM accepted. Drawings or samples are reviewed and first-piece approved before batch production.

Packaging & Transportation

Export packing: waterproof film, rubber spacers, steel strapping, internal wood bracing, and separate accessory bags. Pallet loading available. A loading video is recorded for each container. EXW is our preferred trade term.

FAQ

Q1: What is an IBR roof sheet?

IBR stands for Inverted Box Rib, a trapezoidal box-rib profile common in Southern Africa. It is roll-formed from GI coil and used on industrial, warehouse, and agricultural roofs where a structural span and clean appearance are required.

Q2: Can you supply IBR to Southern African markets?

Yes. We already export to Africa, along with Southeast Asia and Central Asia, and we hold import and export qualifications. Zinc coating can be tuned to inland versus coastal SADC climates.

Q3: What is the lead time for IBR orders?

Standard IBR profiles typically ship in 3–5 days. Custom rib pitch or non-standard lengths require 10–15 days after drawing confirmation.
